They, the expired books on your SD card will show as expired and not be readable in ADE,
but should remain readable from the SD card using your Libre. So you can still say that
ADE did not effect the books on the SD card, as far as reading them on the Libre.
But, as I said you need not expose your SD card to ADE, in any case.

As it is, in my case I don't borrow ebooks and do not expose my JBL to ADE. I only use
ADE to facilitate the download of some ebook purchases. Once the actual .epub is
downloaded, I disinfect it. If I were to be borrowing ebooks, I would make ADE think one
of my SD cards were a JBL running the 0.16e firmware, and still never let it near my real
JBL.
