Smile Newbie here wishing Happy 2011!

Hi there. Came across this forum while looking for a comparison between the new Kindle 3 3G and the Kobo wi-fi. I'm Manuel from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

My current e-readers are an iPad 3G, IPod touch 2nd generation, and a Blackberry, using various e-reader apps (iBooks, Kindle on all devices, Borders app, etc. But I'm really looking into a dedicated device just for reading. The iPad is a fantastic device, but I guess everyone knows it's limitations as a reading device. To me the killers are the weight and screen glare.

I was all set to get a Kindle 3 (most likely the 3G variety) but it's currently unavailable at all the retail outlets that carry it in Puerto Rico (I believe only Best Buy) and Amazon is taking over 3-4 weeks to ship them here. So I'm basically looking at waiting or walking into any of the local Borders stores and walking out with a Kobo. Hope to get some insight in the forum and who knows, I might be reading on my device tonight!

Happy Holidays to all and sorry for the lengthy intro.

Manuel
