The only things I might want from downloaded information is a cover and the back-jacket blurb. I absolutely don't want tags, ratings and series, as I have already set them the way I want.
Regarding covers, my experience has been that I get better information by going to fantasticfiction. I get to see what I will get, and in many cases I can choose between editions. If fantasticfiction fails me, I go to various online bookstores to get images. Similar for blurbs -- I want what the book is about, not the publishers weekly pseudo review. I get these from fantasticfiction, wikipedia, and sometimes other sites.
I can get away with this because I add books rather slowly, perhaps 5 to 10 per month. My to-read queue already exceeds 200 books. Thanks to webscriptions and other sources, my queue is growing faster than I am reading.
