I'm sore and just want to whinge!

So, New York had our first annual blizzard earlier this week. That, in and of itself, wasn't such a big deal. My wonderful 18-year old son did all the heavy shoveling for me after the snowfall.

Turns out we had less oil in the tank than I thought and so the burner went out. No big deal, we'll drive to the gas station, get some diesel, and call for arrange for an oil delivery for tomorrow (I don't have a delivery contract thanks to shenanigans by my ex).

Ooops..didn't I just say we had a blizzard earlier this week? We have at least a foot of snow in the yard. Plus, the rat-bastard neighbors aimed their snow-blower over the fence and dumped *their* foot in the walkway up to the hose connection for the tank (why couldn't the connector be on the same side as the nice neighbors?)

Son and I were out moving a 30 foot long/1 foot wide walking corridor of two foot high snow so we could get to the hose connector to pour in the diesel.

My neck and shoulders are killing me. Thankfully my back is fine so I guess I still managed to lift properly with my knees. My son was an absolute champ. While I did help and move quite a bit of snow, he did most of the heavy work to look after his Mom .
