Hey, thanks for the reply. The reason I ask is because the SD card was previously used in a Canon camera and I'm not sure what format type it would have been set to. So the question is what is 'vanilla plain' since they aren't brand new sd cards.
I just wasn't sure if the kobo would read Fat, or NTFS (or even MacOS Extended Journaled for that matter).
The charging question was more out of curiosity, whether it would be charged enough to use on my way home from buying it
