what jeremy says. i've been thinking since the k2 came out that amazon should have matched the plastic resin color to the page background, as the resin color is the more controllable element. since j. bezos was all wanting the device to 'disappear' in our hands. oh well.

i suddenly think i'm going to order the white one. i have a white k2, and seeing the side by side shots above, i find that i'm more attracted to the white k3. i got the graphite one for my husband as a graduation gift, and it's nice too. so if he wants to switch i'll trade with him. hm. this tells me that it doesn't matter, so i should order the device that will ship fastest. white wins!

e/t/a: ordered white and put on my patience socks. it's not scheduled to show up until the last week of january. no regrets, though. the other thing i've noticed about my husband's graphite k3, is that it doesn't reflect ambient light, which my k2 does by virtue of its color -- and in such a way as to improve readability without adding screen glare. i think i'd need my booklight more with the graphite one.
