I would love to give away copies of Love in the Time of Cholera to everyone I know, so that's an easy choice for me. Honorable mention goes to The Blind Assassin. I'd love to see more people read John le Carré, but The Spy Who Came in from the Cold just isn't representative of all that he is capable of. He's come so far since then, particularly with his novels written between 1974-1989. Still, that one does have populist appeal.
