Having already driven 200km round trip to replace my broken Kobo to the only store that still had a Kobo (let alone a black one) some might think I was a bit crazy but... reading a paper just wasn't the same anymore. Why?

It's lightweight, fits nicely in my jacket pocket as I like to have it on me especially if I am going out shopping with the wife. Secondary to that it also fits very nicely in my truck visor, also great as I can sit in my truck while my wife goes into shop and I don't get bored waiting (means I also don't have to go into the store either) and she doesn't worry about me sitting in the truck being bored feeling the need to hurry up. I can read it while walking to/from work even while it's raining without being worried about get any pages wet. I love being able to edit my books in the epub format, no worrying about proprietary formats like the others. I don't worry about making sure I have every spec of grease or anything else on my hands if I happen to be snacking and reading at the same time. No losing bookmarks either. When I read at work during lunch/coffee breaks I just place it in my locker when I am done and only have to hit the power button to wake it up to resume reading. I also love being able to increase the font size when I need to make it easier to read... usually while I am walking & reading at the same time and no I have never tripped or bumped into something/someone ever while doing that.

Sure I could do all that with a pocket book, and I have, but the Kobo just simplifies the whole process.
