It probably depends on how much reading you do - I would imagine really dedicated readers prefer to read on e-ink because it's easier on the eyes. If you just want to read a magazine on the bus the IPad would be sufficient. A bit like MP3 players - I have 2 because I like audio books and am a musician, so need a player that has a lot of features. If I just wanted to listen to a few pop tunes I would use my phone's MP3 player. Not everyone has the same requirements from a piece of technology.
