Hi, I'm Mark Segall from Greenwich Village, NYC
A licensed NYC tour guide, I freelance for larger tour companies while building my own one-man service, Urban Sherpa NYC (
www.nysherpa.com).
My wife Margie (pronounced with a hard "g";
Mar-ghee) got me a Kindle for Christmas, and for the past few days I've been on a downloading binge.. about 300 works all told, mostly "The Classics" plus books relating to said Classics (e.g., The Student's Companion to Latin Authors).
Books I'm currently reading:
Unequal Protection -- How Corporations became "People" by Thom Hartmann.
The Closing of the Western Mind, by Charles Freeman
Introvert Power, by Laurie Helgoe (on the Kindle!)
Books I periodically feel compelled to REread:
Collected Novels of Philip K. Dick, Collected Short Stories of Philip K. Dick
Ulysses & Finnegans Wake, by James Joyce
The Power Broker by Robert Caro
Missing Beauty by Teresa Carpenter
Geography of Nowhere by James Howard Kunstler
All God's Children by Fox Butterfield
Oh! & I'm also working my way through a speed-reading coursebook. If I master
that, I might actually get to
read half the stuff on my Kindle.
