That's that fine arguably I'm possibly asking a lot of a 'glorified e-book reader' was really hoping someone may of already tested or has data to that gives the real 'top-end' of its capabilities. - Perhaps tempering my expectations is better.
Speaking of the youtube high res quality, I would be curious to know what it is running at to find out if its possible to convert and then run video files at the same rate.
Sample file was .avi ~ 1269kbps bitrate video/192kbps bitrate audio (48k Hz sample rate) @ 640x272
When I use the hamster converter and reduced it down to 3gp standard it played no problem but looks horrid.
Other was a wmv file (HD but that was just a silly test of curiousity) at its reaction.

I think you may have to reduce the bitrate. I noticed that bitrates under 1000 kbps are handled well. Anyway, 800-1000 kbps should be more than enough for 640X272.
