New to Kindle and this forum

Hello!

I've used electronic media for literally decades, but my wife got me a Kindle for Christmas -- so I'm looking forward to learning from the experienced users here.

Since she was nice enough to tell me in advance that I would be getting one, I've had several months to use MobiCreator and Calibre to build a starting library. That has now been loaded to my Kindle, as well as some additional items from Amazon.

After less than a week of using it, I can tell that it's definitely the easiest reading device I've used so far. My eyes don't get tired the way they did when I used to read Gutenberg texts on my PDA, and the screen seems to be better for long term reading than using a PC, even with a nice backlit flat screen.

Guess that sums it up.

Good reading to all of you,
Marcus
