Actually, there's no need to create any additional joint email addy. The email address used by B&N is simply a user name. There is no reason why you have to supply B&N with a password that is the actual password to access said email address. In fact, I never do that. So the only password that has to be shared is the password supplied to B&N to access your B&N content.
If the OP is trying to have separate private B&N content on two separate B&N accounts while indefinately sharing some, I don't know of any way to do that.
