You do not need to remove DRM in Calibre to adjust the metadata although I recommend that you just put the plug-in into Calibre and remove the DRM personnally. It is a real PITA to redownload all your books everytime you switch eReaders.

There is a filed for notes/summary - that you can either add manually or look up using one of the online databases. You can also adjust the title, author .. add in the Series Info etc etc
