? you mean it does not update the hardware clock ? Amazon show a different time then Duokan, but this seem a bit odd, like there may be some update problem in Amazon firmware too...

Yes.
I had to reset my Kindle, after that the date was back to 2010-07-31 like always.
So I went to Duokan 1225 and switched the date back to the actual date. Back to Kindle, opened a collection, went back to home screen, and the collection was at the end of all collections (means the date was wrong).
I might have to explain that I don't get my Kindle to connect to my WLAN, so I can't get the date/time from there).
I thought I messed something up on Duokan, so I went back there, but Duokan had the correct (actual) date.
Nothing I tried worked, Kindle stayed on the wrong date.
I removed Duokan and reinstalled a November version, went back to Duokan, went to the date, it showed 2010-07-31, so now Duokan got the date from the hardware clock. Usually an update of Duokan does NOT change the clock.
After changing the date back to the actual date it was fine in Kindle too.
