Thank you! I'm not the only one who thinks this. Don't know about the other iterations of Nook, but the Nook 1.5 screen is superior to the Kindle IMO. I think it's the lighter background which makes the text pop. The Kindle 3 has a greyish background.
There are obvious advantages and disadvantages to both, which is why I went from trying to decide which ereader to get to trying to decide which ereader to keep!
Biggest negatives for the Nook is the weight and battery life. Biggest negative for the Kindle is the proprietary format and screen (the latter is suppose to be a plus.)
One of them is going back. Just not sure which yet....
