According to the Norwegian tech-news site
Digi, a test project has been launched to use iRex iLiad devices for school books. The
article (Norwegian only) reports that 30 students and 5 teachers will participate in the project, with books provided (mostly as PDF files) by textbook publisher
Gyldendal.
They reckon they can save some money (in Norway, the schools provide books for students) by cutting the book dealers out of the equation -- but some skeptics are, well, skeptical about hardware abuse. :-)
Good for them though - it will be interesting to see the results of it.
