I just boought my Nook on 12/21/2010, and I have been considering rooting it.

However, all the instructions I can find involve starting with a device on Nook 1.4 Firmware and with Serials starting 1004XX or lower.

Since I can't put Nook 1.4 on a 1005XX device, has there been any success in rooting a 1005XX device?

Please advise.
