First I've heard of this particular fix. Good on you for finding something that worked for you. Other folks seem to appear to have the desktop application installed, but, particularly with Windows 7 64 bit installations, it doesn't work. A reboot sometimes takes care of it. An uninstall, reboot, and another try also seems to work for many people.
