Yes, I was a bit confused about those comments about cracking the Kindle with repeated removals. I would be much more concerned that the back would crack with repeated use as a cover. But, to each his own. The cover is too expensive for me to consider using it as a holder while reading, and leather will crack with repeated binding when it is a treated surface and unavailable for oil treatment.
