According to Sony's Facebook page for the Sony Reader Store, Apple's review process is reason for the delay. Okay, fine, how about the Android app!!!

Sony Reader Store, "For those of you who have been patiently waiting for our mobile apps to be available, we wanted you to know that we are still waiting for our Reader iPhone app to come out of Apple's review process, which is taking longer than we had originally expected. We apologize for any inconvenience and will let you know as soon as we hear back from them. Until then, we want to wish you a Happy Holiday!"

That same page now includes this about the Android app...

Sony Reader Store, "Due to unforseen circumstances, our mobile app Reader for Android will not be available until after the first of the year. We apologize for any inconvenience."
