It's a traditional spiced warm red wine, I think it originates from Germany. It is a Chrstmasdrink.

I used to make it myself: cheap red wine,one lemonpeel, one orange pierced by a lot of cloves (20),one cinnamonstick and some sugar. Make it warm(not boil)on a low fire, a couple of hours.
These days I buy it by the bottle, in Germany, and heat it up in the microwave.

It has to be hot/warm to drink, and it gives me very warm rosy cheeks, by just looking at it.
