I would say the button on my wifi looks slightly lower than the original. I use a dvd case and the only thing I find is that I power my Kobo down because I think the button does get pressed sometimes because it's a relatively tight fit.

Thanks for the information, I use a case of a wii game, and it fits my original Kobo perfectly.
