I tried out an Ipad but I would have to say that despite its attractive appearance and beautiful clear screen, it didn't really impress me as a useful tool. Kind of like a beautiful sports car when what you really need is a fuel efficient sedan. My Asus netbook is less glamorous but does all the jobs I need.
Unfortunately the IPad comes well down on the long list of things I need to buy, but I have to say it is really beautiful.
