That will remove authorization from the reader, but it won't remove it from Adobe or Sony's list of authorized devices.

I did that on a PRS-900 that I sold and then the new owner couldn't authorize it. I wound up calling Sony for support and they manually removed it.

On the Adobe sign-in page (below) there's a link to contact customer service. I'd use that. If you have another Adobe ID, they can even merge it with the old one.
