Yay, it works! At least on a K2, for the one book I've tried so far.
I had to replace my old K2, which I kept on 2.3.3 precisely for DRM-stripping reasons with a 2.5.6 one due to a screen issue, and I was going to spend all day today downloading all 405 of my Archived books from the Manage Your Kindle page to ensure I had a properly backup-able copy with a filename I didn't have to guess the contents of.
I'll probably still be doing that anyway, for paranoia's sake, in case the new script hits something it can't handle.
