In Dutch there is a saying "The customer is king". Another small shop nearby has a plaque in the store with an alternate version: "The customer is king if he behaves that way".
Today it has been quiet, probably due to the amount of snow that has fallen lately. I don't mind, there's enough to do, I can finally check, price tag and put away the shipments that came in last week.
