I would recommend Pocketbook. I'm looking to buy the Pocketbook IQ (LCD not eInk). Pocketbook is probably the best reader available in Moscow, Russia where I live and for sure the most purchased, based on what I see being used in the Metro. I have the eSlick myself (same hardware as the Pocketbook 301) but if I had to do it over again I'd get the Pocketbook 360. Solid software, from what I've seen on the web-boards, and a really nice design.

The new Pocketbooks look really nice and if you want something larger they are coming out with a 901 model.

As a nice added feature, Pocketbook has a Linvo dictionary that translates English to Russian (but they might not be on all models).
