That's strange. Dropbox doesn't try to identify file types. It just presents you with what is stored there. I just checked and my NC can see the .epub files. I selected one for download and was asked which app do I want to use (Aldiko or Overdrive). I selected Aldiko and the file downloaded.

Are the .epub files synced with online storage? Is there a check mark next to files in the Dropbox folder on your computer?
