I loved that series, but I made the mistake of reading it a few years ago before all of the books came out. And since they are so giant with so much going on, I never picked them back up since I knew I'd have to reread all of them.

You should try Brandon Sanderson. I've only read "Elantris," which I loved, but his series are supposed to be phenomenal. He took over the Wheel of Time series after Robert Jordan died (I passed on those, heard a lot of complaints about the series degrading towards to end).
