Mine had same problem. When input it to sleep the sound stopped working. Power off and it would work. I went through two. The sales guy at BN was very helpful. Said there must be a defective batch. Pulled the third one from bottom of stack and it worked fine. I would guess there will be a lot more of these problems brought to light after the holiday. BN has not admitted to problem as of yet. It will replicate if you put it to sleep in store. Good luck!
