They are? I must admit, I'm surprised by this. What online bookstores and sources for books offer non-DRMed MOBI which aren't otherwise available in EPUB? That's the only way I can see how non-DRMed MOBIs would outnumber EPUBs.

EDIT: Or perhaps you were referring to how Amazon's selection of ebooks outnumbers everybody else's, and that includes non-DRMed MOBIs?
