My philosophy is that 'music is music.' My parents hated the Beatles but loved Pat Boone. My grandparents hated Pat Boone but loved Rudy Vallee. My son thinks Lady Gaga is great, and wonders why I like the Beatles, Animals, Herman's Hermits, etc. (We both like Tim Buckley ...) There is absolutely no accounting for musical preferences, and as you say, the more people out there singing and stomping their feet, the better this world will be!
