I did the USB upgrade, then found the thread on upgrades which suggested doing a factory reset first. I don't know if that would have impacted me much, as my books are on an SD card anyway.

The USB upgrade went smoothly. I then did the images/kepub/sqlite replacement as suggested, and then a factory reset. Plugged in the SD card, and fired it back up.

I seem to remember I used to get a progress bar indicating the search/update of new material - I thought my Kobo had frozen as I only had the little black boxes on the lower right of the screen. I'm guessing that the detection occurred behind the scenes, and just took longer. I sort of miss that progress bar. Maybe this was a onetime abberation.

The other issue I have (and it's minor) is book covers showing. The options are turned on for Show cover on both off, and standby. I was not seeing a cover for either. I plugged the Kobo into a wall charger overnight, and the cover now shows when I turn it off, however I still do not get a cover on standby.

Perhaps an additional factory reset and synch? (once I finish this book of course - it has limited chapter markings, and 160+ pages is a lot to go through manually.) I admit I was hoping for a 'go to page...' option, but that is minor.

No real issues to mention. Just the quirks. I do notice better response time, and I'm glad to have my cover option back. I also appreciate the option to disable auto-off.
