Sony PRS650 ticks most of those boxes.
Buttons are on the bottom but also has a touch screen so he would be able to swipe the screen to turn pages
Dont think you can replace the battery
Can be walled charged but if your Dad doesnt have a computer I assume you are going to be loading the books on the reader for him?
It has the new Pearl E-Ink screen which is fantastic
