The Black model DOES NOT run android 2.0, but rather 1.5 (cupcake). It also does not appear (at the current time) to be capable of a future upgradeable path beyond the android version it currently has.

Unless rooted you cannot install ANY external apps. Angry Birds and the Kindle for Android will not install (I've tried).
