Betty, I'd like to ask you to input 'Stitching Awl' into Wikipedia.
This has been my hobby/avocation for many, many years. I have an entire closet devoted to rolls of different sorts of leathers, both plain and exotic, laces and thongs of every style and shape, and enough tools to choke a horse! It made choosing an on-line name pretty easy. I figured 'Stitchawl' was gentler sounding than 'Hammer,' and less prone to misunderstanding than 'Sailmaker'sPalm.'

Yes. Thanks for that! I am celebrating the 43rd anniversary of my 21st birthday!
I'm just about ready to change my clothes so we can head out to the Mexican restaurant. No bike tonight though. It's my night to get really tipsy! Fortunately, getting drunk in Japan isn't regarded with the same negative feelings as it is in the west. As long as one isn't a nasty drunk or a constant one, it's considered good fun! This is the only night of the year that I have more than one or two drinks, so my wife has no problem at all with me not being exactly steady at the end of the evening. I will not be exactly steady at the end of the evening. Not falling down drunk, mind you. Just not exactly steady.
