Well, they already do, via the Kindle Android app. Any e-reader that runs Android can use it, unless the e-reader maker decides to lock it out (as is the case with the Nook Color for instance).
There is also the web-based reader they are working on (like the google books thing). Presumably that would work on any e-reader that has internet access and a web browser.
