It's a point of view, I imagine you entered the series index in calibre and you are trying to port them to iTunes.
I entered the numbers in iTunes and a few months ago developed some hodgepodge of win scripts to transport iTunes metadata to calibre and back (since I am not using the "conect to iTunes" feature of calibre)
