Look at the attachment.
I can see the indexes of the series of 'The Culture' adding the Sort Name column - and you get the index right, but in case the book is not part of a series it's the book title that gets written to the Sort Number field.
In case the book belongs to a serie, part of the series name gets written to Sort Number: 'Culture', from 'The Culture' + the index.
