There is no authorized PocketBook service anywhere close to me.
I see two tiny screws on the back, perhaps it is enough to unscrew them to get the upper side of the back cover removed and to take a better look at that switch.
Perhaps I can fix what is wrong with it myself. Like soldering back one of its pins. Or putting back a spring that popped out. Of course, it might be mechanical and no easy way to take the switch apart or fix inside it if something is broken.
In that case I might send it to be repaired eventually, perhaps next year when I already have the next 9xx model with Pearl or plastic screen....
If it turns out that reset is working for switching it on, and there is no requirement to switch the device off or on with the on/off button in the middle of firmware update, then there is no urgency. As I can get to the list of 10 last read books by a single click another way

(update to 2.0.3 beta did not require on/off switch to be used, but update to 2.0.3 final is supposedly different and more complicated)
