Actually, Georgie would be Elizabeth as she is both loyal to Hyacinth, but also in tune with the resentment/dislike of the locals; perhaps, he a conflation of both her and Emmett?
I've seen the Mapp & Lucia TV series, so have an idea of Quaint Irene, et als. To the extent Hyacinth has a "nemesis" (at least in her own mind), Mapp would be Mrs. Barker-Finch?
