I don't think it concerns taxes and other things like that. I ordered a Kindle 3 a month ago and paid 45$ for shipping and i did not have to give extra money for getting the package.
I looked for pieces of information about COD, it does not correspond to taxes or VAT, it is a way to ship package, if i understood the whole thing, someone who sells a product send it to a customer, the seller does not receive any money at the beginning, he chooses COD, that is to say that UPS or another company takes the money to the customer at the delivery time (if the customer does not pay, the shipping company does not give the package)...and then, the money is send to the seller in the next few days...
But that does not concern me because i totally paid the order! I think it's a mistake... hum...i hope
