Thanks for the help.
I tried deleting and re typing user name and password a couple times and even tried a different account but get the same error.
Turned-off my anti-virus software to see if that was causing it but still get the same error. I will try a Hotmail account and see if that works next.

I tried to use the content server instead of email but my kindle can't open the page. changed the port to 80 and that didn't help.
I may be stuck using USB transfers if I can't get these other options working.

tried using hotmail and tested and received this error:
