Nook - The Skype dilemma

So, for those that rooted the Nook Color, how about a little conversation on the Skype situation (if it hasn't been hashed already)?

The fundamental problem that everyone sees at this point is obviously the lack of built-in microphone, or mic input of any kind. I think it would be reasonably interesting to see some tech savy shop building a nook case that seated the nook into a micro-usb, and had a small mic then piped into the USB. I suppose there's a small mountain of issues to tackle there regarding Android usb-mic drivers, and even whether or not the nook can use the micro-usb port for communication with devices other than a computer/charging.

Maybe a bit more interesting is the Android 2.2 update, and the implications of the bluetooth device that is apparently embedded in the wireless controller ...
