I used to be able to get US ebooks with my US amazon account (actually I have only ever has a US address listed as I only ever get things from Amazon shipped to my dads in NY), but now I can't. They haven't asked me for proof of residency though, which I would prefer since I have a US passport. My page just shows me the Canadian available ebooks and the others that are geo-restricted have -- next to the Kindle format where the price would be.
