Yes I'm intrigued now to know what book it is!

And there is no way to tell whether you personally like a book or not without actually reading it. There have been plenty of books which I've read which have had rave reviews and I go back after reading the book and wonder what the other readers saw that I didn't!

Unfortunately I have to read a book all the way through, no matter how bad I find it. Sometimes I end up getting a pleasant surprise if the book really picks up and I love it when that happens. But normally it's just not enjoyable all the way through.

Samples are a good idea when you actually get a decent sample that is. I've read plenty where I've thought "Thank God I didn't buy that!"
