1. On my Kindle 2, Doukan contrast looks the same. It may be slightly slower, but I haven't really noticed.
2. Epub looks fine. I can't compare it with Sony or Nook, but it looks just fine to me.
3. DRMed ePubs, library or otherwise, are not going to work on Duokan, because you won't be able to register the device, I believe. You will have to remove the DRM, then they work fine.
