Dragon Keeper is certainly not Hobb's best. I loved the assassin/ships/fool tri-trilogy but since then her stuff has been rather meh.
Finally gave up on
The Opposing Shore and finished
The History of Beauty. Started
What the Buddha Taught, which I'm enjoying so far except that some of the (Sanskrit?) characters come out as ugly squares on my Opus. Annoying but not really an obstacle to reading.
