I haven't used mine while charging via AC, but I do have one comment about the special micro-USB cable the NC uses with its extra long connector. It does not connect as easily as I would like. I find that most micro-USB cables are a bit more difficult to insert into devices than the mini-USB cables were, but the NC one is rather difficult to get aligned properly so that it can be completely inserted into the NC. It goes in part way, but then I have to tilt it up and down until it aligns properly and will then allow itself to be inserted the rest of the way. I have a bad feeling that if anything breaks on the NC it will be the micro-USB port.

Its a rather kluge design, and in my opinion unnecessary and a slap in the face from B&N not to use a standard cable.
